Summer Heat and the Vines

Summer heat has us 7-10 days ahead of our normal harvest dates. With temps over the 100 degree mark the vines have a tendency to shut down or pull back a bit. Overall, the vineyards look good and we have left more leaf canopy than usual and watered just a little more than normal (which is not a lot). Harvest will start around the 3rd week in September and run through the end of October.
