This Cabernet is a blend of four vineyards (Chateau Margene 25%, Casagrande 32%, Stillwaters 18% and Lock 25%) consisting of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot. All the lots were fermented in small open-top bins and punched down, by hand, three times per day. The wine was aged sur-lie for 16 months and then an additional 10 months in oak barrels (30% New American Oak, 70% 3 year old French Oak). Unfiltered and unfined. “Deep purple with aromas of blackcurrant, spice, mocha & cedar. Fruit forward, rich and bright on the mid palette with firm tannins, nice balance and a lingering finish." 431 cases produced. $44
