Amidst the oaks and rolling hills of Creston, CA, on the old Huer Huero Mexican land grant, you will find Chateau Margene, est. 1997. The estate is planted with prime exposure on the gentle crest of an east facing slope, within its own micro-climate, producing world class Cabernet Sauvignons and Bordeaux style blends.

Our highly acclaimed wines, are created in true artisan style at our estate in Creston.  Our estate winery was completed in 2001 and we continue to weave our magic on the same crush pad.  

We grow or purchase superior grapes from 11 unique vineyards, then we hand pick, hand sort and gently de-stem the fruit.  All of our reds are open top fermented and aged for extended periods in the different barrels, which range from 18-36 months, depending on several factors.
